St Mary’s students have spent an action packed two days in Belgium and France learning about the battles of the First World War. We have visited memorials and cemeteries in both countries and been moved by the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres. Plenty of chocolate has been purchased (and eaten) and we are now all ready for an early night in preparation for France tomorrow. Firstly, we’ll head to Wierre Effroy to experience croissants being made. Then it is shopping and eating in the old town of Boulogne-Sur-Mer.
