Year 6 Taster Day – December 2010
Year 6 students from Charlton House enjoyed a taste of the College timetable on Friday, with Biology, RE, English and French lessons. This builds upon their previous taster in Year 5. The students were welcomed by Fr Michael, Mr Lickley and Mrs Weaver and then guided and supported by College Prefects for the rest of the day.
The College continues to out perform Schools in Southampton and Hampshire with students achieving 11 GCSE’s on average at grade C or above and has consistently produced a GCSE pass rate of 94/95% 5-A*-C (inc. Maths and English), the bench mark used by OFSTED. The College strongly reflects the values established by its founder Jean de la Mennais and has a continued commitment to support the work of the Brothers of Christian Instruction. It is a faith community, where every child is valued and known.
