Welcome back!

A warm welcome back to all our students and a special welcome to our new year 7.

The term has started well, with some unusually warm and sunny weather to help ease all of us back into routines. Sadly such conditions are not guarenteed to continue so please make sure that they have available appropriate clothing and footwear for the Autumn term ahead.

All students now have their planners and homework timetables so please can you sign the planners once a week to make sure they are keeping up with the work set.

I am pleased to report yet another successful academic year at the College. The schools results of 95% A*-C ( including English and Maths) continues to impress. There was a significant rise in the number of candidates gaining the higher grades (A*/A/B) and the number of GCSE’s passed averages at 10.5 per student! All the staff at the College send our prayers and best wishes to all those students who have now moved on to start their new courses this September. We look forward to seeing them at Speech Night on the 9th October, with our guest speaker Professor Anthony Dickenson, a former student of the College.

The results for our now current year 11 look very promising, with a 97% A*-C pass rate in Maths, 90% in English and 79% in RE. My congratulations go to them and I am sure we wish them well in this their final year.
