The little gardeners!

Three enthusiastic gardening teams from Year 1 and 2 have been doing maintenance work this term. The pictures show just one of the teams. They have dug out the invading grass and weeds from beds near the front entrance and planted little Begonia seedlings in the troughs. (There are also 2 bags with seed potatoes growing out there.) I would also like to mention our appreciation to the Gallaghers for the seedlings which they have donated to us over the years, some of which are still happily growing in the front pots. The Year 2 team have begun weeding at the front gates too, but there’s always more to do! We usually down tools at the end of the summer term, but I would love to have a ‘Big Bulb Plant’ day in Autumn with the whole school, so watch this space… Mrs Shirley Paul
