St. Mary’s celebrated our annual Speech night and Prize Giving Ceremony last night

St. Mary’s celebrated our annual Speech night and Prize Giving Ceremony last night.  Thank you to Bro. Francis and to our Key Note Speaker, Mr R. Deverell, for attending the event.
Mr Deverell, an old Simmarian, gave an oustanding talk that linked to his work as Director of Kew Botantical Gardens, London.  Other speeches celebrated the success of our students last year; including academic, sporting, musical and pastoral.  Mrs Charelemange’s speech reflected upon the ‘hidden treasures’ she discovered throughout her first year as the Executive Head at St. Mary’s Independent School.
It was also wonderful to see so many of our old Year 11 students return for the event; although it is always said to say ‘goodbye’.
Congratulations to all the students who recieved a prize; your commitment to your academic success, co-curriculum achievements and nurturing, communal atttitude shown like a bright light last night!
