Southern Schools Open Ski Race 2016

The Charlton House skiers succeeded in retaining the Southern Schools trophy. This event is similar in scale to the recent Interschools event, but with more demanding rules which require consistent skiing to avoid disqualification.

On a fast, challenging and wet course the team skied sensibly during the first run to ensure that they all put in a clear run when Adam’s time was compromised by a fall on the wet course . Fast, controlled skiing by all on the second run ensured a convincing overall victory. In fact the margin was so large that if Adam’s first run time did need to be used they would still have won easily.
