Ski Trip 2015

Despite the lack of snow, the ski trip once again proved to be successful.  The resort this year was the village of Villeneuve in the picturesque Serre Chevalier valley.  The fine weather made skiing enjoyable, and the resort worked hard to create enough pistes to provide all the skiers with a variety of fun and challenging runs.  All the students, from absolute beginners to the more experienced, made good progress under the expert tuition of our two instructors, Yann and Mathieu, although not without the inevitable fall or two.

The students also enjoyed the aprés ski, with a variety of activities, including a quiz, karaoke, a pizza night, and ice skating.  On New Year’s Eve, a display of torchlit skiing by the instructors was followed by a firework display.  A games night kept the students up to see in the New Year.

The trip proved to be very enjoyable for all concerned.  The hotel staff looked after us very well, and both they and the ski instructors commented on the excellent behaviour exhibited by our students.  The students showed their appreciation for all of Mr. Winter’s hard work in organising the trip with a small presentation.
