Old Sarum

On Friday 30th September Year 7 students (along with Mr. Lerego, Mr. Sadler and Father Michael) visited Old Sarum and Salisbury Cathedral. The weather was glorious- brisk but sunny, and allowed students to remain outdoors to study both historic sights. Students have been learning about artifacts in History lessons and were tasked with taking pictures and notes about different artifacts in and around both structures, helped and guided by the school staff and members of English Heritage and Cathedral volunteers. Students thoroughly enjoyed the day and, judging by the amount of questions they asked, learned an awful lot about Anglo-Saxon history!
