GCSE Results!

St. Mary’s College would like to congratulate all of our students on their results and their personal achievements; 80% of them obtained the minimum 5 GCSE passes at A*- C including Mathematics and English; St Mary’s College therefore maintains a three year average above 90%. 50% of our Year 11 students achieved B – A* with 25% gaining A – A* grades.  As a non-selective school we have some exceptional results.

These grades are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff and students at our school and, whilst lower than last year’s 96%, include exceptional personal progress for some of our community.

Special congratulations go to Matthew Jansen (13 A* – A), Freya Davey (11 A* – A), Oliver Ruggles and Nikhil Sood (10 A* – A) and Grace Kennedy (9 A* – A).

83% of our students achieved higher grade passes in English and Mathematics with 40% achieving A and A* in Mathematics. Our average student achieved 8.7 GCSEs above grade C.

Our GCSE results are proof that our community is able to extend, challenge and develop students with a wide range of abilities.  At St. Mary’s College we not only focus on producing the best GCSE results for our students but on the child as a whole; we nurture within them a love for learning and inspire in them a willingness to want to achieve their best.  Congratulations to all our Year 11 students.
