St Mary’s super sleuths were challenged to use all of their detective skills at Saturday morning’s Family Forensic Trail, to solve the case of the missing trophy! Our visitors used a variety of investigative and forensic techniques to solve the clues and discover who the culprit was. From soil analysis to chromatography, footprint to fingerprint analysis, their skills as forensic experts were put to the test. Our youngest scientists had their own case to solve – the case of the escaped animals! Fortunately, both cases were solved thanks to the hard work of our forensic experts, and the day ended with the trophy thief, Taylor, being put behind bars by our resident police officers. All of the escaped animals were rounded up and brought back safely to the zoo. After all of that hard work, plenty of cups of tea and coffee were needed – not to mention plenty of cake!
