Fun in Chemistry

Year 8 are developing their understanding the periodic table of elements by making their own periodic table of lego! Ordered by size and colour, the table repeats its properties (the colour) regularly (in a periodic fashion).
Year 10 are attempting the ‘A classic rate of reaction’ practical experiment which has made a return to the new chemistry syllabus for the first time in about 20 years. Here students are measuring the effect on rate of using different masses of Manganese oxide catalyst, which is used to break down hydrogen peroxide in to water and oxygen gas.
