Charlton Fun Day
The weather was perfect for Fun Day on Sunday 26th June. The theme was ‘The Best of British’ and so the day began with the choir singing traditional songs with some audience participation.
There were the usual features: bouncy castles, slippery pole, Nursery games and the climbing wall but with lots of added interest. There were demonstrations from the gymnasts, the karate club, the country dancing club plus archery and horse riding. The fire brigade turned up and the year 6 students bravely manned the stocks. Mr. and Mrs. Tsang again provided some lovely Chinese food and the Parents Association really went to town on their cream teas this year. Two other events reflected the theme of the day – a Royal Treasure Hunt and a British hat competition.
